Dr TT Mahlobo

With over 20 years of experience in medicine, Dr. Teboho Mahlobo is a qualified specialist in general and vascular surgery. His medical journey began with an MBChB from the University of Cape Town, followed by hands-on clinical experience @ South Africa and the United Kingdom (UK), where he developed his clinical acumen and his skills in emergency medicine, trauma and general clinical care.

Dr. Mahlobo further expanded his expertise with an MSc and DIC from the University of London’s Imperial College London, after which he relocated to Cape Town and worked as a Trauma Medical Officer at UCT’s Groote Schuur Hospital prior to relocating to Johannesburg where he enrolled and completed specializations in General Surgery and then Vascular Surgery through the University of the Witwatersrand. For the past five years, he has been practicing as a consulting vascular surgeon at Netcare Olivedale Clinic, utilizing minimally invasive techniques to manage arterial and venous conditions.

Dr. Mahlobo continues to stay updated through participation in international workshops and courses across Europe and the USA. He is a member of the Vascular Society of South Africa, the European Society for Vascular Surgery, the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) and the American Society for Vascular Surgery, ensuring his practice aligns with established guidelines. His approach is grounded in adherence to the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) regulations, focusing on providing ethical, compassionate patient care.

      – Poor blood flow in the veins leading to swelling, pain, and skin changes.

    4. Pulmonary Embolism (PE)

    5. Superficial Venous Thrombophlebitis
      – Inflammation and clotting in the superficial veins, often visible under the skin.
